Review on ๐ŸŽง ASTRO Gaming A10 Gaming Headset - Black/Red - for PC by Keith Aluguvelli

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very good headset for the price

4 years later I'm still a proud (take it seriously) owner of the Astro A10. Pros: - Comfort is entirely dependent on the size of your head and ears, the headset has sliders that move up and down as needed if you have a larger or smaller head, but the ear pads put a lot of pressure on the ears, which can sometimes be a problem for some people including me - the sound quality is amazing and probably the only reason I still rock with this headset, I work as a video editor and motion designer so creating a sound design with this headset makes things easy, and listening to music at full volume is still as satisfying as it was when I bought it in 2017. In addition to the sound quality, this headset is very bass-heavy. So if you like it, here are the cons: - The mic isn't detachable and only slides in one direction, meaning if you're wearing the headset correctly, the mic can only slide down to face you. left while wearing. Before this headset, I always wore a headset with the mic on the right and thought I wouldn't like the change, but I've gotten used to it and it doesn't bother me anymore. I still don't know if the official Astro website offers a splitter if you buy direct from them, but if you're worried about not getting one I would 100% check the Astro website first. Update 3/24/2021: I'll be brief but overall this headset has lasted a very long time, I think the only thing I would change about it if I could would be to change the position of the ear cups, but that's really it. I plan to switch to studio headphones very soon to further my career, but I'd still highly recommend this headset if you're on a budget and want more than a decent headset as it's lasted me for so long.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Periodicity
