Excellent product, clear sound, very thick and heavy cable. I bought two of these cables (3ft and 6ft long) and both completely eliminated the hissing noise I heard while recording and transcribing my voice (i.e. using Dragon Naturally Speaking). ALL interference, hissing, hissing, crackling, scratching - whatever you want to call it - are completely gone. Not only reduced, but completely eliminated. I couldn't believe the difference between these mono value cables and a 3.5 extension cable that I used to pay twice as much for. Also nice is that I no longer have to wrap wire connections in aluminum foil to reduce all those clicks and scratches. It looked ridiculous! Another benefit is that I can actually move the cable and it doesn't start static again. (That means I can get up and go to the bathroom to pee instead of doing it in my chair. It's not fun on a hot day, by the way.) The only downside is that these cords are heavy (okay, cool ones Guys (at least for me) because they are very fat I think it has to do with the territory, you will not feel very comfortable if you plan to hang this cable on your headphones when you connect them to your phone , plug in your player or portable 8-track player and go for a jog outside. Carrying a cable like this is tantamount to carrying a donkey rope if you've experienced this fashionable neck exercise earlier in life. And finally, in case anyone's interested, I use this cable with Audio-Technica and Sennheiser cardioid microphones.
