Suitable for sumi work

I have tried dozens of oriental papers for sumi, calligraphy and Chinese brush painting. Each paper has advantages and disadvantages. I use this paper often. The costs are great. The texture is pleasant, with thin streaks of fibers. It's thick and doesn't wrinkle as much as other types of paper, but it looks surprisingly transparent. It has a unique way of applying ink and paint. He has an average thirst that is neither good nor bad. So I have to use more water than with many other types of paper. I can't always see my brushstrokes the way I'd like depending on the type of painting I'm painting. And it's bleeding a little. This can be an advantage as the edges of rice paper are more interesting than other rice paper. The trimmed edges do not form halos around strokes, as is the case with other papers. Experiment and enjoy the personality of this paper!
