Budget Dolls for OOAK and Games

I purchased these items for OOAK practice/projects so this review focuses more on that use but is still relevant for those looking to purchase for your little ones . These dolls are replicas of Monster High, but they're a decent imitation if you can't get your hands on the real thing or want to practice OOAK without too much hassle. They don't have a distinct eyeprint; it's just flat. Doll Claudine (werewolf) and Waydown (spider) are the only heads that have a unique shape. Draculaura (pink) does not have pointed ears. White Frankies, Draculaura, and Claudine have flat patches on their heads. Green Frankie has a noticeable top seam but the shape looks okay. I haven't desecrated Vaidova yet, so I can't comment on the shape of her head yet. Waydown's paint seems a little thin on the eyes, but the rest of the faces look fine. As for their body, they are very different from regular MH dolls. Only the torso and thighs are made of hard plastic. The rest of the limbs and joints are all rubber. In fact, at first I thought their hands couldn't part because there seemed to be no resistance. However, they can be removed by gently pulling. They can probably serve as spares, but you'll need to cut the connector plugs (?) a bit to make them fit. They are closer to the cork shape than the "i" of the official MH dolls. All bodies are identical in shape/casting except Wydowna doll; Frankie (Green+White) has no stitching or studs on the neck. They also don't have a regular T on their necks to keep their heads upside down. In fact, their heads can be taken off and put on quite easily, but not so easily that you're likely to do it unintentionally. As for her hair, as other reviews have said, it's pretty thin. This isn't a problem with OOAKs, but it's something to be aware of if they're intended for gaming. Most dolls have enough hair to look passable, but the white doll has a set of ponytail pins on purpose. She can't leave her hair down and look like she has thick hair. Her hair isn't glued either. There is nothing to hold the hair. I washed my dolls when I got them and while combing Kaudin's hair I unplugged them. If you want to play with them, be sure to put some glue in them or you'll rip their hair out. Your clothes are fine. The shoes don't quite fit as her heels stick out a bit at the back, and I couldn't take off Vydaona's dress without first removing her head. But I didn't buy them for the clothes, so I didn't pay much attention to them. In general, these are good dolls. I'll attach photos when I get a chance. Edit: Interesting development! When removing face paint with acetone I was able to remove all visible paint. However, the coral outlines of the eyes and eyebrows remain (and Draculaura has her irises and heart on her cheek). It's pretty hard to see with Claudine, but with others it is. I suppose it would be helpful to have a guide for beginner OOAK creators. In any case, you must openly cover it! Edit 2: The dolls' faces are asymmetrical. making it extremely difficult to uncover. It's probably good for the game, but be aware if you want them for OOAK.
