Note that they are very bright at 500 lumens which is about the same as a 50 watt incandescent bulb but for the compact size of a night light bulb. I used these lamps (6000K version) in my recessed lamp workshop on an old bench grinder. Ordinary light bulbs could not withstand vibration and were not bright enough. Until now, these LED lamps have been ideal for this application. In the night light? Probably too bright for that unless you plan on staying up all night. But for any application that needs a lot of light, this is the way to go. Addendum: A year later, still works. It was also the perfect replacement for the lightbulb in my Frigidaire clothes dryer. I liked them so much that I bought another set for spares.
