Review on Crime Scene Forensic Science Kit: Crack the Missy Hammond Murder Case by Tony Hanson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Fun but poor quality

My three grandchildren, 14, 12 and 10 used this. They love solving crimes, they even invent their own crimes to solve them so I thought it would add some reality to their fun. I looked them in the face while they did it. Directions are good. The fingerprint samples were fine, but the blood samples and vials were not opened. You had to cut and/or break them to open them. They could scan and get "lab" DNA results, and I had to help them understand those results. They correctly identified the culprit. When I asked them to rate everything they gave 5 for fun and entertainment but 1 for quality. If blood samples were more user friendly this would be a 5 star hit.

Pros
  • Full access to the police file (requires internet access)
Cons
  • Concise instructions
