Review on TOTO SW583#01 S350E Electric Bidet Toilet Seat with Warm Cleansing, Nightlight, Lid Auto Open/Close, Instant Water Heating, and EWATER+ - Round, Cotton White by Conrad Greene

Revainrating 3 out of 5

If you can beat the price you'll never look back

Advantages: 1) Easy and quick installation. Just in case, I covered all the connections with a layer of teflon, although it didn't seem necessary. 2) The water pressure is pretty good. Make sure you have set the remote control to full beam (steady light) and not soft beam (flashing light) and that the water shut-off valve is fully open. For reference, the inlet water pressure is 45psi, which is not great. 3) Warm toilet seat 4) The pre-mist seems to help keep the bowl clean 5) The fan seems to eliminate odors pretty well. :1) The round version of the toilet is smaller due to the loss of space for the retractable hose and nebulizer components. While I don't see this as a problem for women, it does take some getting used to (and adjusting) for men when you sit down. 2) There is no way to temporarily disable automatic features for a specific period of time. When I bathe my child, I have to deactivate these functions with the remote control and then activate them again, otherwise the seat will continue to open/close + pre-seating. It would be great if I could pause or disable "automatic features" for 30 minutes. 3) While the mount/base that connects to the toilet is very snug, the actual device gives more than I'd like when it snaps into place. This means that even after multiple uses, the device will be a quarter inch left or right of dead center. Seems to be a small issue at the moment but I'm wondering how much trouble this seat game will cause after prolonged use. 4) At nearly 4.5 times the cost of the toilet this seat sits on, price is a major hurdle. 5) The fan is a bit noisy during use, although the pros here may outweigh the cons. 6) There is a slight persistent hum that never quite shuts off or seems to go away. It's pretty low, although it fades into the background after a few days. Wildcard: 1) If you have a toddler learning potty training, the concept of a robotic toilet that automatically opens when you approach and spits water into a bowl can either be fun and very enjoyable or terrifying and potentially traumatic .

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Nothing Here
