Review on Xiaomi Mijia Water Dryer 1800 (Mi Ionic Hair Dryer), white by Franciszka Henke ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A practical product, nothing to complain about.

In spite of a few minor issues, this Xiaomi product is still really enjoyable and of the high standard you'd expect from the brand. In favor, below: Sleek, small, silent, and surprisingly potent. You can tell the materials and construction are high quality by how it lies in your palm. Ionization seems to have a similar effect as the professional hair drier I own, in that my hair is not left feeling like straw after drying. Two power settings and three temperature settings (cold, hot, and medium, more on this in drawbacks). Constant ionization is a feature. The use of a button illuminated by an LED for switching and indicating modes is quite convenient. Arguments against it: Important drawbacks: 1) The hair dryer's heating element may be programmed to cycle on and off in order to provide air at three different temperatures: cold, hot, and medium. Therefore, I would prefer medium mode to have a steady flow of warm air rather than hot and cold cycles. In my perspective, this is a major drawback. 2) When turned on, the hair dryer immediately blasts hot air regardless of what setting was previously used. Those. To convert to cold air, for instance, you'll need to click the mode switch button twice after turning it on. This is mildly irritating. 3) The lack of a loop to hang a hair dryer in the bathroom turned out to be somewhat crucial for me. 4) The tiny power lever looks like it won't hold up for very long. However, perhaps it's just as it seems. 5. The airflow restricting nozzle is kept in place by magnets, making it look hip and contemporary but also causing it to fall off the appliance several times a week. For instance, I come into contact with it when I rewind the wire.
