My eyesight has deteriorated as I've gotten older and found that threading a needle is a major obstacle to the projects I wanted to do. I ordered them to make this task a little easier. These big eye sewing needles have a nice big wide eye that makes threading a pleasure. These needles make it a lot easier for me to start sewing. Many times I would purchase a similar item only to find that the walls of the eye had been made thinner to allow for a larger hole. This caused these needles to break when I pulled on the thread to tie the stitch tight. The needles I have here are big eyed with thick and strong sides, so I'm not at all afraid of them breaking. Also for the price this is a large number of needles, so I can count on them to be available for a long time. Their thickness and size also make them easy to find if dropped, but they are well pointed and tapered to avoid damaging thin materials when poking through fabric. Suffice it to say that I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend them to anyone for whom threading a sewing needle is, or has become, a difficult task.
