Fix wrong RGB mappings

Okay, I've had a lot of feedback on a device that changes how the controller box works (not the console of the controller itself). After several days of searching for a solution, I found one buried in the deep web. The controller is cheaply made but, oh my god, won't break cheaply in your hands. The remote is of poor quality, but not much worse than the remotes you get with car stereos. The internal welds on the control box are well done, but this is where the problem starts. The controller was designed by someone who knew that the factory workers (or the machine that assembles these things) can't properly identify the wires. So the programmer who developed the firmware of the device "gently" changes which pin does what. As you can see in the photo, the pins on the board are marked as RGB and the wires are welded as BGR (I welded another block to GRB). To correct incorrectly welded wires, the device can be "rebooted" to cycle through each color. Turn off the device, but leave it connected to both the DC power supply and the strip. Tap the lower right button FADE 7 on the remote control several times; This causes the bar to blink once per click. Each flash is an RGB recovery cycle. Click it two or three times and then turn on the strip. Check if the RGB buttons on the remote control are correct. If not, turn off your device and tap again. Check again. repeat repeat repeat. until they are right. I have a VIZIO TV with a remote whose volume mimics a button fade command when the entire command is not visible to the controller's IR eye. Remote controls of other devices (Brite-View Media Player, Vizio TV, Sony BD Player and cable box charter) also cause interference. A little annoying, but the volume on the TV is the only one that changes the soft set of the RGB buttons. Find out. I hope this helps if someone has a device that is encrypted or you have received a device that is not working properly.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
