Morticia loves hers; with Chewie, no jury yet.

I bought these for my new cats. One of them is a male, Chui (Swahili for "leopard" - although he's not seen, he's also a big cat), and a female, Morticia (a Halloween cat), and the colors of this collection respect "gender." ". -stereotypical "collars for each". Both are nocturnal cats (we're not superstitious in our household) and although the cats differ in temperament and general appearance, you really have to see them together to tell them apart. Collars are one great way to quickly identify an animal. After all, you don't want to berate the wrong cat for destroying your house! The collar stays on the cat unless the cat decides to take it off. Tisha leaves hers; I think she sees this as a sign that we're "connected" for life. Chewie tends to take his off, but he also comes when he hears the bell and politely stands up while I put him back on. Seems a way being a feline ritual, perhaps the repetition of "oath"? Since it's a safe escape from environmental entanglement, that's probably a good thing , but one should probably not rely on a collar as the definitive means of identifying a lost pet. An identification chip will likely help get him home faster, but this would require capturing the cat and taking it to a veterinarian or animal welfare organization to have it scanned. Collars and dog tags are good insurance, just a handle and a call to help you. I just keep mine out of the house and pray they don't run away.
