I've slept on orthopedic neck pillows for about 12 years. I've never had trouble finding a decent pillow until recently. I tried Tempurpedic - I hated it because it shrinks to an inch from the heat. I tried the D-Core pillow but my neck hurts - just an odd design. I don't do well with memory foam pillows because of the heat, again they tend to go flat and I really need support. After trying about six different pillows over the course of two months, I tried this one. That's incredible. It doesn't flatten out because it's not memory foam, and the precision-cut foam tubes are replaceable. I started with a medium firmness but had to switch to a soft one (the instructions say to start with the softest). No more tossing and turning in bed, no more neck pain (literally). This pillow is perfect mainly because you can adjust the firmness by changing the cores. I'm excited and so is my husband. He doesn't need to hear me complain that I can't sleep. UPDATE: I've been using this pillow for almost 6 months now and need to look for another pillow. I'm between 2nd and 3rd cores. 2nd is too soft, 3rd is too hard. I find it very difficult to switch. I am no longer satisfied with the pillow. Too bad it worked wonders in the beginning. My star rating has dropped to 2.
