Received yesterday. I put some frozen pineapple in it last night. Today we had my daughter and family for dinner. You and I are working on our weight and drinking water instead of sugary drinks is boring! She took a sip and was delighted. The daughter fell ill with a cold and would neither eat nor drink. She tasted the water because everyone did. She ended up filling 2 water bottles with water. As they left, she asked for more. The pitcher is not clear, like many others. I'm tired of those beautiful acrylic jars that scratch and break easily and I don't need any of the jugs made out of the same material. It feels as solid as the old Tupperware or Rubbermaid pitchers I still have 20 years later. I took it apart and rotated it a bit to see how durable it is. Nothing has broken. No scratch. The brewing unit can be removed from the lid by lifting it slightly and turning it to the side at the same time. It seals well. Nothing spilled when I shook it after putting the pineapple in it. If it doesn't last I'll come back to tell you but for the price you can't beat it.
