Once you play with this thing a little, you'll see what a smart little thing it is. As noted in other reviews, this is not a Starrett tool, but in many ways a typical Chinese shop. However, the square and straight edges are correct, and the scale is correct when checked using known angles. It looks a little arthritic with some of the twisting and sagging it's capable of, but it turned out to be more useful than I thought when I ordered it - which was on "lark". You can capture and measure angles in places where a digital T-slant won't fit. It costs $26 - and I was surprised at its usefulness.
