Strange smell and rusty fittings

I agree with the negative reviews. I really wanted to like it. It had an odd musty smell and wood discoloration. The color change has gone but I am hoping the smell will go away before my bird is weaned. You can use a second set of washers (and preferably non-rusting brackets) - the cage bars dig into the soft wood and can't make it as strong. Save and hope for the best.
