were easy to assemble and once switched on automatically connected to the supplied screen. Once I changed the resolution to 720p, the picture was also crystal clear (as sharp as 720p can be). When you turn on the camera for the first time, they are automatically set to 480P. Motion activation and night vision work flawlessly. I couldn't tell any difference between the three motion settings. Both cameras are set to record continuously 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to the 256GB SD card I purchased for this system (you MUST be purchased separately). The two main reasons this system gets 4 stars out of 5 are: 1. The video feed is not 1080p, but randomly adjusts between 480 and 720 and doesn't record when it drops from 720. 2. The range of the cameras in front of the monitor is not great for me. Both cameras are installed outside on both sides of my driveway and the monitor is in our kitchen. The cameras are 45 to 50 feet from the monitor at all times, go through two walls (drywall and insulation), and lose signal several times a day. Sometimes they come to three receiving bands and after a moment they say there is no signal. Range is my biggest take on this system. I plan to keep using it and add 1 more camera.
