OK, I'm an engineer and this gadget surprised the heck out of me. not in a good way. in fact I returned the first one, convinced it was bad. I could hear the motor turn but the chuck didn't turn at all. then about every 2-3 seconds a loud BANG.Well, it turns out, that's how this works! The "impact" comes with each of those BANGS. It's strange but it seems to work. I wanted this to remove car tire lug nuts. It works on my 2014 Rav4. After about the 4th BANG, the lug nut is almost all the way off.Only 3 stars because it's a weird acting tool and I'm a bit concerned that the impact may be too much for certain uses and might cause damage.
