Great TV speaker upgrade! If you understand what this speaker is for, it will live up to your expectations. A speaker in this price range will deliver better sound, providing bass boost and clarity. This is not a soundbar that will blow your mind while watching movies. That's why they don't advertise as such a speaker. No speaker under $300 delivers great movie sound quality. Singing is way better than TV speakers. I used to turn up the volume just to hear a voice and then fall into a daze when the music or other noise turned on. This speaker offers excellent volume control across the audio spectrum. When the Clarity feature is enabled, it's even better. Setup is easy. Understanding the lighting can be tricky, but watching a Bose setup video on YouTube makes it a lot clearer. I think it's a good price. I tried a couple of 2019 LG soundbars (and subwoofers) under $300, and while they put out a lot more power than TV speakers, they didn't deliver very good clear voice. I recommend LG's range for better bass and performance, but when it comes to cleanliness and overall volume control, Bose is the speaker to go for.
