I ordered 4 sizes in a row, all regular (not husky) because we use them for church every week. They are small but the fabric is very gentle. My boys are 3 and 5 years old and I thought we could combine jackets and trousers if needed. I feel like the jacket will outgrow the first because the pants can hide a big size difference. The pants have a good elastic waistband and belt loops and are also very long which is great for the best possible fit. I haven't hemmed them yet but we fold them about 4 inches and they fit snug enough to stay on top of the shoe. The normal is a bit tight. My boys have different body types, complete opposites actually, and it suits a lanky guy better. A child with a heavier build will fit in just fine, 1 size too big due to the stretchy fabric, but maybe a husky would fit better. Doctor says he's 80% weight for his age and 50% tall, so towards the end of the average he's fatter. I'm three years old and lanky, I have to take pants almost an inch in the waist, but shirts usually fit.
