Review on Vitamix 63126 Low Profile SELF DETECT Container by Steven Wood

I bought this to replace a 3 year old part that had bearing problems (rust seeped around the gasket under the carafe. phew). And yes, Vitamix sent me a replacement part free of charge once I determined it was covered under the full warranty. In any case, I dried the carafe thoroughly after each use and there are still tiny water stains on the new carafe. Apparently, water condenses on the cool but dry part, and literally any moisture will result in water spots. Otherwise, the part seems to work properly for the last 3 months. It runs at high speed for about 2-3 minutes most days. I notice a faint "hot smell" quite often - although I make cold shakes with it - so I'm interested in long-term reliability. Fortunately, Vitamix warranty support is very good.
