This case is very beautiful and perfect for the iPad 8th gen. There was an initial problem and you'll see some of that in recent reviews where the wrong case was sent. I received a case that did not have a pen holder. This was necessary for me so I contacted the seller and he immediately replied that there must be a problem in the Revain warehouse and that they would send the correct case. They did and I received it within 3 days and they told me I could keep another case as it was their confusion. That's excellent customer service. Mistakes happen sometimes and instead of giving the 1 star rating that others have for the same reason, just reach out and see if the seller can help fix the problem. It's hard to rate durability at this point as we've only had it a few days, but it fits well, feels good and seems to protect the iPad with normal use.
