Review on Eibach E60 35 002 01 01 Pro Truck Shock Single by Paul Green

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Good. for some time. for shock absorbers, struts and suspension

A bit of history. The 2010 F-150 replaced the stock rear shocks with yellow Bilstein shocks about 90,000 miles later. You didn't impress me. they were no better than the stockers, not even the 90,000 mile stockers. But I left them for another 60,000 miles when I replaced them with these Eibach shocks about 150,000 miles later. The Eibachs looked good, ran well, and offered slightly better small bump compliance than regular or yellow Bilstein shocks. I liked it and was happy for several months. until I replaced all-season tires with all-terrain tires. The Eibach shocks were clearly overpowered by the stiffer and heavier all-terrain tires (for the same tire size). And then, after about 20,000 miles on the Eibach shocks, I heard a rattle. Long story short, after paying $115 to a Ford dealer for diagnostics (they also couldn't find the source of the knock), I removed the right rear shock and the noise was gone (only drove 1/4 mile . don). no worries). Off the truck, the shock felt good when stretched, but when I compressed it to ride height there was a distinct "dead zone” where there was little or no damping. I immediately ordered and installed silver Bilstein shocks when the Revain box arrived 2 days later. Wow! I should have installed those shock absorbers miles ago. I didn't do it because I thought they were stiff, but they control suspension movement so well they actually feel a lot better. Day and night over all previous shocks including yellow Bilstein shock absorbers. I don't know if my Eibach shock was botched in an accident or something, but I felt I had to tell my story.
