I bought this kit to replace the derailleur on my Gary Fisher mountain bike. The cable worked great for my bike, but the cable I had to use had two downsides. It was crimped in the middle of the cable and the other was at the end which was fine as I ended up trimming it with an excess which I didn't want. So far this is not a problem, but keep in mind that they are made in China. I love this kit because I didn't have parts for anything and they are complete brake and derailleur cable kits which is nice as they include pretty much everything you need to replace except for a cable cutter which I also need to have around to receive him. . Other than that, it was pretty easy to install. Only time will tell how true that is. For the price, you can't beat it, especially if you don't use bikes all the time.
