Unfortunately this product was a colossal waste of time and money for what I needed. I have had to connect my outdoor string lights at about 8ft with considerable tension and this product does not fit. The clips used to secure the cables are not securely attached to the box body. So they just pop out even if you use tape on the cables. The idea and design of the box should work. It was just put together in the cheapest, most unsystematic way. And no instructions.
