Perfect for protecting my dimmer/timer and for connecting an outdoor lighting extension. I have to say I was a bit disappointed when my original order arrived with a broken corner clasp. I figured I would just have to get by but was pleasantly surprised when the seller contacted me and made a replacement. They stand by their product and I am a satisfied customer.

garbage. Not waterproof. It has two corner clips that snap into place to keep the corners closed. One of them broke on first use. Now there's a breach in the seal that defeats the purpose of this thing. Don't waste money. Buy a Tupperware bowl. FOLLOW-UP: Thanks for the replacement suggestion, but I threw it away. For me it was rubbish. I have a rugged little outdoor junction box and silicone tubing. So much better and stronger! So I don't need a replacement.

Unfortunately this product was a colossal waste of time and money for what I needed. I have had to connect my outdoor string lights at about 8ft with considerable tension and this product does not fit. The clips used to secure the cables are not securely attached to the box body. So they just pop out even if you use tape on the cables. The idea and design of the box should work. It was just put together in the cheapest, most unsystematic way. And no instructions.

someone mentioned an issue with small spacers not fitting. true, they weren't. However, this is an easily fixed issue with some glue on the bits to keep them in place. and we noticed that the tabs were a bit hesitant to open after snapping. we only remember where we use them. although that hasn't been a problem so far. So I am sure that in this case we will find a way to tweak them so that they still work. because the case itself appears to be made of fairly durable plastic.

I have not installed either unit ordered but I am really impressed with how well built this protector is. It looks like the company thought of everything when creating this waterproof and bug-proof device. (That last one is actually why I wanted to try this.) Although for the most part it appears to be solid and decently finished it may not be watertight due to a design flaw. Immediately after unpacking, the hinge side does not close as tightly as the clip side. Unfortunately, the rubber O-ring is too small to fill this gap. You can barely see it in one of my photos on the right. This is the best picture I could get, but the gap spans most of this page. I only drive my car once a week and only drive a few kilometers. This means my battery has no way of maintaining a charge. I bought a battery tinder here and bought this plastic cord cover to keep the plug and extension cord from getting wet. I always leave the Tinder connected to the battery and tuck the wire cover close to the left front wheel. The lid has a valve that keeps water out, which is nice.
