This is my second Chinese USB set top box. Everything is easy. Plug it in, open USBTreeView and it only works with USB 2.0. USB 3 connector known to work USB 3 cable known to work (mine, not the one in the box). Those capture cards say they're capable of outputting 4k60, but that's exactly what PASSTHROUGH does. If you try to record at this resolution/frame rate you will either get a completely black screen or your broadcast will be a slide show. 720p60 or 1080p30 is the maximum you will get from any of these devices as that is just the USB 2.0 bandwidth limit. You go higher and the channel literally isn't big enough so you get horrible compression and frame drops at best, and at worst the stream stops entirely. give it back Finally bought Elgato. Not quite what I want, but after two boxes like this and both with the same problem, you obviously can't count on either of them actually delivering what they advertise.
