Review on ๐Ÿ’ก Neewer Battery Grip Pack Replacement for Nikon D750 MB-D16 - EN-EL15 Battery Compatible by Amy Mears

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The Neewer Battery Grip for Nikon D750 fits me perfectly, the fit and finish is great too.

I've waited weeks to write this review. I bought the basic model with the battery grip, no remote control. First off, this version of the Neewer MB-D16 3rd party grip for the Nikon D750 fitted perfectly and worked absolutely flawlessly for 3000 images in the last month on my Nikon. D750. It fits snugly on the camera and feels solid on my tripod with my heaviest lens. I've read of many having battery drain issues with third party Nikon battery grips. I haven't had any battery drain issues when using the Neewer Grip for the Nikon D750. I've had a long-standing habit of gently flipping the grip switch when I turn the camera off myself, so maybe that saved me from other battery drain issues. to have. Maybe I'm just lucky. But this Neewer grip is perfect for my Nikon D750 and I tightened it really tight but not too tight. It has never come loose during use. I've used it on a tripod many times and have always felt the secure and solid hold, both at the connection to the camera and in the tripod thread for the tripod quick-release plate. I have to say that I always bought genuine Nikon accessories and lenses whenever possible and could afford $369 for a "real" Nikon MB-D16, but I'm mad at Nikon about two things about their MB -D16. 1. Stupidly overpriced. Just greedy, stupidly overpriced. 2. One battery in the grip, another in the camera, which requires removing the grip to charge the battery in the camera. Here they fell behind technically, my beloved D90 and the handle MB-D80, which I had used for years, both had Nikon batteries under control. On long days of shooting, I could pick up one of the two, reload, and keep shooting by swapping the two batteries. I now need 3 batteries for this. Again. Laziness, poor design and greed on the part of Nikon to drive up prices. So I will continue to enjoy my perfectly working and reliable fake Neewer MB-D16 until I can get a great price on a real MB-D16.
