I recently upgraded my M.2 SSD in my computer and couldn't use the previous one I had installed anywhere. As I am currently studying, I need secure and reliable mobile storage. I saw this article and all the great reviews so I decided to take the plunge and use my M.2 as a kind of giant flash drive. God, that was the best decision I've made in a long time! This thing was very easy to install, all components are top quality, and the download/upload speed of this thing (with M.2 installed obviously) is insane compared to typical USB snail speeds. would. Good product. Highly recommended! Initially I had many problems with this device. He was very hot, worked very slowly and turned off more than bearable. After some small adjustments it works quite well now. It still gets pretty hot, but we can forgive that for a passively cooled device in this price range. Important: If you need normal speed, make sure your cable isn't to blame. My first cable had a max speed of 40MB/s. Now I'm typically seeing over 100MB/s with the right cable. And even via a USB hub. For shutdowns and stability, I need unmatched reliability when running virtual machines from this drive. I couldn't get this to work until I went into the advanced Windows power options, specifically "USB Settings".
