A Dremel. Yes I have one, two actually and variable speed. But they're too heavy for tight spaces, spin too fast (even at the lowest speed), and take up a lot of bench space. I don't need power with styrofoam, I need control and I need a slow twist so I don't melt the plastic. Finally. a tool that I am very happy with and perfectly suited to this task. I often add the standard parts that come with the kits and replace them with a redesign based on a redesign that more closely matches the original item. This requires careful drilling and grinding (no melting). This pup has no vibrations, is very quiet, feels very comfortable in the hand and can use all my micro drills and all my dremel attachments (grinders, buffers, etc.). I have the variable speed transformer that came with this model that will set and maintain your chosen speed. Very happy with this product!
