If you're using an older Mac with dual monitors and don't have one.
As a result, older Macs don't allow dual monitors in most hubs when the lid is closed. NO SIGNAL messages are normally displayed periodically. Don't quote me but I don't think there is support for two 4Ks so I've always found I need to run one of those and then I get full functionality and can close the lid too. . StarTech makes phenomenal Mac hardware and they've never let me down.
