You might think the instructions say the device needs to be installed, so break the screw, that holds it in place tab in the mounting hole that allows the battery to power the device. CM. Like the first reviewer, I received 2 units, and after receiving the second unit and spending a lot of time, I noticed a tab in the mounting hole and broke it with a screwdriver. They give you 2 screws but there is only one mounting hole. I went back and forth to select 3 or 4 stars but those were the only bad points about the unit so I gave an extra star. The good thing is that the device is cute, small and easy to assemble. I decided that I would help the company with future customers because I believe most people wouldn't guess about the inlay because most people would try to turn it on before screwing it into the wall. Also, they sent me a second unit very quickly, which was much appreciated.
