Easy to read and works pretty well. There are two things I struggled with. The red light is pretty good, but it's so bright at night or in the dark that it's almost impossible to use. It would be nice if this could be adjusted. The good thing is that black was still legible in many of these situations. jumps in scanning distance. I use this for paper or 3D archery targets. If the target is shot and has a 3 inch hole in the center, the scan can jump from 20.2 on the paper to 28 yards where the hole is. Actually it will be 20.3, maybe 20.4. You could damage your equipment or your target frame with these readings. Overall I like it, I just don't use the scan feature very often.
