The dishes were not dried and the dishwasher began to smell musty. I checked the current draw during the drying cycle on my circuit board and less than 1 amp indicated the heating element was bad. Replaced a heating element purchased through Revain. Part arrived very quickly. The repair wasn't difficult after the dishwasher was taken out of the cabinet and tipped on its side. Installing the part was very easy, just be sure to loosen the set screw all the way to release the rubber grommet that holds tight when squeezed. The new heating element did it. Now the dishes are clean and dry. The water left in the dishwasher after washing is minimal and the musty smell is gone. I'm glad the repair only cost $25. The craftsman would have cost much more.
