Review on Intel Core i9-11900K 8-Core Processor: Unlocked LGA1200, 5.3 GHz, Intel 500 & Select 400 Series Chipset by John Caldwell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

5.3GHz paired with 4th gen nvme is sheer speed

If you see too many of these new i9s and i7s put in b550 boards or something with an LGA 1200 slot and it's a waste! This is the latest of the new guys, if you get this processor right, if you don't want to use its capabilities then get the 10th gen and save money. You need a new board, liquid cooling, 4th gen NVME drive and new 30 series GPUs (because they use 4th gen PCI-E slots). 11th gen processor (it's an i9 if it's in your budget) Step 2: Get a motherboard with Gen 4 PCIe sockets (I chose z590-e) Step 3: Obviously water cooling for this unlocked beauty , because it would be a shame not to get it up to 5.3GHz (surely made with Corsair H150i elite capellix; hovering around 40 degrees Celsius) Step 4: Get a NVME solid state slate drive from the 4th Gen (could also use Samsung 980 Pro to read 7000MB/s) Being able to open webpages and games within 5 seconds of pressing the power button and never have to wait for anything to load again 🙌🙏⚡ This is the future ⚡

Pros
  • Alright!
