This is a nice little slick slider covered in 1/4 and 3/8 threaded holes. It's very versatile, good for macro photography, still life, food shots and the like. For most, the lack of design won't be a problem, but it's a clear flaw. The 1/4 to 3/8 adapter (any adapter, not just the one included) requires countersinking at the top of the threads for a proper fit and flush mount. This countersink is missing in all 3/8 holes. After you screw in the adapter, it is above the surface by the thickness of the collar, which normally fits into the required recess, which should be on top of the threaded part of the hole. Like I said, unless you absolutely have to have a 1/4" thread exactly where the 3/8 is, this will never be a problem. It's just amazing to see a mistake like this. In addition, with this slider, in combination with a good pan-tilt head (not a ball), you can create very nice series of photos and videos.
