Great shoe, well finished with quality materials, perfect fit

Many years ago when I was a very young man I always bought Florsheim shoes until I had a problem with the local Florsheim shoe shop which I traded in for years. The problem was that even though I was a long-time customer (and they knew me), they refused to take my check. I used to ALWAYS pay by check (drawn on same bank as always), this store NEVER had any problems but this time they just refused to accept it. (They told me it was "the new policy.”) So I left the store, never to return and never to buy another pair of Florsheim shoes. Many years ago I really liked the shoes of this company, I decided to take them. I'm glad I did. You are really excellent. I put them on yesterday (I needed a shoehorn to do this) and they are snug but comfortable. I wore them all day and had absolutely no reason to complain. (My shoe size is 10-D [or medium].) I'll wear them all day today and maybe tomorrow. They are very light but the materials are clearly of the highest quality. Once they're broken in, I'm pretty sure I won't even need a shoehorn to put them on (although as always, I'll still use one). An additional "plus" is that they look very nice in my opinion. They can be worn for everyday life, for work and maybe even for clothing. I think these shoes are very, very good value for money (based on their current price) and I would highly recommend them to you. If you buy a pair I think you will like them as much as I do. Of course, they're not quite the same as they were many years ago when they were made in the US - now they're made in the country. whose name starts with a "C" and ends with an "A" (small hints: this is NOT Canada. this is NOT Cambodia or even Colombia). Can you guess the name of the country? But the overall quality (especially the leather), fit and finish is exactly how I remembered it from a long time ago. And that's something! Of course, only time will tell if they will last as long as Florsheim shoes made in the USA in the distant past. By the way, I should mention that the local Florsheim shoe shop is no longer open. It was closed many years ago. As far as I know, this is not a loss! Thank you for reading this and for considering my observations. Lawrence H. Balk
