The first thing I noticed was that the pins are labeled. This is not typical of such components and is greatly appreciated. The delivery is super fast, everything is packaged correctly. I mean it came in a protective box and anti-static packaging. I tested all 3 and none had any problems. I could run up to 100 meters with no problems. They worked as soon as I plugged them in, although I used a few tricks to improve performance. One thing that helps is aluminum foil around the circuit to reduce interference (maybe some plastic first to avoid shorts). I also used an external power supply instead of relying on the Arduino. Playing with channels helped a bit. Especially in urban environments you never know which wavelengths will be used. Finally, if you need extra power, you can always use a directional antenna. I've heard stories of these suckers transmitting up to 10km, although I'm not sure how accurate they are. In summary, adding a power amplifier and a low noise amplifier was a great idea for the nrf24l01 circuits. Product shipped as advertised.
