Review on ZOUTOG 6-inch White Ceramic Succulent Pots with Bamboo Tray - Pack of 2, Flower Planter Pot - Plants Not Included by Aaron Long

As expected & great! Perhaps a bit shallow for mature succulents, but it should be fine!

This is perfect for a lone Mother of Thousands that will drop her pups over time; I specifically wanted something wide for this reason. It may be a tad bit shallow for a mature succument, but succulents don't often have deep root systems, so I'll just watch & see how my MofT does. The second one is being used for propagating cuttings & leaves & it works well for this!My only minus-one-star off of "sturdiness," Thus value & overall is that the bamboo appears completely unfinished. At first, I just placed a piece of coffee filter over the drain hole at the bottom of the ceramic bowl. I thought that the bamboo should hold up to the occasional tiny drips of water going thru the drain hole on the ceramic, but to be super safe, I ended up applying a thin coat of varnish on the bamboo 'plates.' The satin varnish gave a lovely sheen & I coated the bottom of the bamboo just to make it look consistent & waterproof the bottoms along with the top of the plate.Overall, these were packaged carefully, are well made, & serve the purpose intended!

Pros
  • They don't nest perfectly into the bamboo tray, but some little rubber furniture feet fixed that.
Cons
  • Susceptible to cracking or chipping
