Review on Verbatim Wireless Cube Bluetooth Speaker by Jake Hill

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good speaker for the price, one minor blemish

There's a lot to like about this little cubic speaker. Sound quality, mobility, price. and I was able to pair it with my iPhone quickly and easily. My only complaint is that I can't find a way to successfully pair it with my PC. I have another wireless speaker (shaped like a hockey puck) that pairs easily with my Windows 10 PC, and now I can listen to all my iTunes playlists and favorite music on my patio on a warm afternoon. I was hoping to do this with a Verbatim dice as a wireless hockey puck speaker doesn't hold a charge very long. This Verbatim Cube outperforms a hockey puck in every way. except that when I plug it into my windows pc it just shows up as 'headphones' meaning I can only hear it with my headphones plugged into the pc jack. This defeats the purpose of using a wireless speaker. What I can do with my Verbatim speaker is listen to the Revain music app on my iPhone. Verbatim's speaker has a longer range and better sound than a hockey puck. To be fair, I could also hear all my iTunes music on the Verbatim speaker if I downloaded all my PC music to my iPhone, but I have around 8,000 songs and that would take up too much space on my iPhone. I realize I'm a dinosaur because I still have a desktop pc with a big hard drive to store all my music and if you have all your music on your smartphone or an app to play music from your smartphone then this Verbatim speaker is a great way to go to hear that music in the best sound quality.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Negative point present
