Connectors must be very well constructed and easy to install . They come with several separate sets of different sized grommets for both plugs to properly tighten the different sized electrical cords you intend to install them on. I used mine to install 75 foot 6/4 SOOW electrical cord for a portable generator to power our home during a power outage. I wanted to use the largest possible wire to reduce resistance and power loss over a long span. I've seen a few other comments online where people are looking for L14-30 connectors that will accept cable #6 due to the same sort of circumstance and they're fine for that cable size - you just have to take your time with the Take installation and keep the strands smoothly intertwined.
