Review on YCT Evaporative Emissions 14935 5M000 Pathfinder by Tim Wheeler

Direct replacement for my 2004 Nissan Pathfinder 3.5L VQ35DE

My car has recently started throwing error codes related to the EVAP system; "Major Leak Detected" and "Vent Control Valve". (I believe P0445 and one more.). I ordered this YCT EVAP Evaporative Emissions Vapor Canister Vent Valve Solenoid after realizing that Nissan wanted around $150 for their OEM part. the rear wheel is good and does not interfere with anything. I replaced it with a 2004 Pathfinder with 230,000 miles so everything was a bit rusty there. As I feared, one of the old screws was rusty so I had to drill it out. Before attempting to swap them out, I highly recommend spraying some WD-40 or liquid wrench on the old bolts and letting it sit for about 20 minutes before removing the two 10mm bolts. Otherwise, the new block is inserted immediately and fits perfectly. Also, don't forget to check if the O-ring comes out on the old block. I haven't had this problem, but I saw in a YouTube video that someone mentioned this problem. Much luck!
