Review on πŸ”Œ NOCO GC017: Portable 12-Volt Adapter Plug Socket With Battery Clamps - Convenient Power on-the-go! by Joseph Quintana

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Battery terminals aren't good

Pros: cheap Cons: terminals used our stuff. After using this device on a hike I found that the screw holding the wire to the clamp was loose so I tried tightening it but realized it was a design flaw. It will probably work just fine for charging a phone, but I bought it so I could power my laptop directly from the battery and it's grossly inadequate as the clips don't have enough metal texture in the plastic to hold the wires properly to secure. The quality of cables and 12 volt sockets is probably not much better. I replaced the clips with hardware store parts that cost the same as the entire unit. If you're looking to buy this for the occasional emergency then this might be a good value for you. Any serious use and it will fail. I would return it but it's just not worth my time. My reading is 2 stars. Personally I would give it one star but as some people may find it acceptable I'm being generous.
