Review on Uxcell Black Plastic Speaker Spacers by Shane Hartford

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect fit and easy to install!

I have a 2003 VW Golf and when I went to replace the stock speakers I found that the stock gasket could not be reused. I couldn't find subwoofers small enough to fit without the spacer on the aftermarket. in VW subs are installed at the bottom of the doors and their placement interferes with the windows. If you're not careful, your window will hit the subwoofer when you lower it! The subs I ended up buying were actually a bit thicker than the standard subs, so I definitely needed 2" spacers. They fit perfectly, they give enough room for the window to go behind the speakers, and they didn't push the speakers too far forward either, allowing me to snap the door panel in place and use the standard speaker bays with no problems. . Another important factor is quality - many speaker pads are made from poorly made cardboard or chipboard, which tend to crack quickly and ruin speakers. They are good quality thick plastic, they will never break and can be reused if I ever need to replace the subwoofers again. Also, due to the material and fit, there are no annoying vibrations or rattling noises that you get with a piece of wood or loose-fitting pads. They are ideal for 6.5" subwoofers.

Pros
  • Coaxial speakers
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
