Sony D-EJ120 personal CD player runs and runs. Bought as a gift in 2005. She brought it back when she switched to the iPod. I cleaned the emitter and optics and then found the correct Sony power supply pinout. Used daily as a garage system source from headphone jack to 3.5mm jack to 2 RCA male cable. There are no problems with output impedance or level matching to the amplifier. Battery Life 1: If you must use batteries, enabling bass boost level settings will decrease battery life. This is a compromise for more "bang". Battery life 2: Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries last the longest, especially when MegaBass #1 or #2 is on. Alkaline substances quickly die under such conditions. Expect it to be forever. If not, find another. For your health!
