This is NOT a 'gooseneck' design, but a cheap, semi-rigid aluminum pole, wrapped in tubing to give a VIEW of the pivot joints. DO NOT BUY this product if you plan to reposition the neck as it WILL BREAK. Mine was ready in less than 6 months. Mine was attached to a power chair so I had to change positions frequently, but the term "gooseneck" should be reserved for materials meant to be moved, and this one definitely isn't.
