Best summertime purchase

This is very easy to assemble and hang using simple common sense, so I would throw out the "directions”. They make no sense at all anyway. (But look at them because they are comical at least). I like that there is 2-3 different ways to securely hang this screen to your door frame. Velcro, small trim nails or a combo of both. I have a lot of traffic, large dogs and an active household so opted for the combo of both. I pressed the hook portion of the Velcro (comes in a roll with the paper covered adhesive backing) onto the loop section already attached to the back edge of the screen, before I started to hang the screen. I peeled back the top section paper and pressed from the center out. I then peeled and worked my way down each side making sure the screen stayed pulled but not too tight that the magnets couldn’t grab each other properly. They are very strong and hold very well! Once completely adhered, I used a trim nail in each corner, the center of each side and 2 additional (total of 5) in the top to be sure it didn’t get pulled down. It’s actually very secure. It’s the perfect length for my 8’ door and looks nice. My dogs figured it out and can now go in/out without issue. I’ve also only noticed about a $5-10 difference in my electric bill leaving my door open with my AC on since I’ve had this up in the Texas heat! I’m totally impressed!

Pros
  • Screen Doors
Cons
  • The magnets may rust or corrode over time, reducing their strength and effectiveness
