My dog is 13 pounds, measures 13" neck, 18.5-19" bust (including hair), 12.5" length. She just turned 13 and I bought her this as a retirement gift. Expensive fur for a well deserved older pup! She is oversized in Puppia harness. Her Yorkshire best friend is 9lbs and wears a Large Puppia size coat. I was guessing it may be between Large and XL so I ordered both, ended up leaving the large, it fits like a glove (hoping it doesn't gain weight.) The XL was too big and will be returned.Even if it has a sweater underneath and wore tight straps, stomach and back would be exposed to the wind.The main difference between L and XL is the handholes, XL has almost 2 times more handholes than L. The wind blows right through the XL size handholes if it doesn't fill them. as expected t was size XL much longer and hung down my dog's back. The length in the graph is pretty accurate. XL length is 14 inches. That didn't bother me, but it was obvious that the size of the cloak was too big for her. The XL is great for small French and bullies, pugs and more medium sized apartment dogs.” "I would prefer a size between L and XL but I love the Puppia quality so much that the close fitting coat doesn't bother me as long as it is not so does not cause any complaints.I made a side-by-side comparison.photo
