Finally solved my problems with this adapter HDMI port on my graphics card, but both my monitor and Oculus Rift need an HDMI port. I used a cheap HDMI displayport adapter for my ultra wide (2650 x 1080) monitor and had many issues with the display remaining black for minutes after starting Windows and waking from sleep. Mode. I decided it was an adapter so I bought an HDMI cable for the Displayport Gatorcable. That gave me the same problems too. I found the adapter that came with my motherboard. That also caused me problems. After much research I found that this adapter should be able to increase the resolution beyond 1920 x 1080 which all other adapters could not. I ordered one and paid for overnight shipping. Unfortunately, the adapter was never sent to me and I had to return the money, which Revain did without any problems. I then ordered this adapter from cablematters and just plugged it into my monitor, turned on my system and bam. The display works great right out of the box, no more than 3 minutes of screen dimming. It even supports Oculus Rift if you don't have an open HDMI for it. Great adapter and sticks to cables from now on!
