You have done a great job with very old exterior fittings. The old plastic covers had mostly fallen apart, looking dilapidated, exposing black wiring. It was a bit difficult to get the old plastic parts out of the base as they were falling apart but a little effort did the trick. If I had known how easy it is to replace them, I would have done it many years ago. Note that the candelabra bulbs in the photo are new LEDs so they look different (yellowish filament) but they work great and hopefully won't need to be replaced. for many years.
