Difficult to assemble - holes do not match

My granddaughter seems to love this doll cradle. It's a nice solid block and it looks really good. However, assembly was quite difficult. There were many fasteners to assemble. Worst of all, some of the pre-drilled holes weren't done properly. A hole for the barrel nut was too small and I had trouble getting the bolt in. . . and a couple of dowel/bolt holes were drilled out of place, maybe 1/16 inch or so. That made assembly a real challenge. I had to lean really hard on some of the pieces to get them into place to install the fasteners. I assembled it without breaking a single part... fortunately.
